Let's get ready for the winter months by cleaning out the house and garage and SELLING it at the Fall Garage-a-Rama! This spring was such a hit that we decided to do it again! Folks from all over the Big Horn Basin and beyond came to Meeteetse to find their treasure. The entry form is easy to fill out and its only $5 for you to get on the map. There is space at the Oasis campground for folks to set up a selling area and the Oasis is offering this for FREE! The theme this year is "Women of Wyoming" celebrating the important history that women have played in this great state as well as what the future might hold. Please get your entry for the parade, being held on Monday, September 1st at 9:30am, into the MVC so we can get you all lined up. Ribbons will be awarded in each category for 1st and 2nd place as well as an overall Grand Champion. So get your thinking caps on to show us a great float!

The traditional 'Street Dance' is back! Under the town tent in the parking lot between the Elkhorn and Cowboy Bars, will be music and fun activities all weekend long. Justin Beasley and After the Rodeo band will be here on August 31st, Sunday night to get everyone pumped up for the annual Labor Day Rodeo, being held the following day (Monday, Sep. 1st) at the Meeteetse Rodeo Grounds.

We are very excited to be handling the annual Rodeo this year and work has already begun to make it a great Rodeo! If you are interested in becoming a sponsor or volunteer, please contact Tess. There are opportunities still available to be a vendor at either the Rodeo or during the Craft Fair in the old Merc building. Please submit your Vendor Application to the MVC by either email or mail (PO Box 238 ~ Meeteetse, WY 82433)

What a great time we all had this year!  Already working on next year so keep your eyes peeled for announcements and things to come!

I would like to personally thank all the participants and volunteers and supporters of this year's derby.  With this year being my first year as the official Events Coordinator, I was a bit nervous, but I had the best time and hope you all did, too!  ~Tess Fremlin
