Meeteetse, Wyoming is a growing community nestled in the southern portion of Park County. Our town is rich in western history with ties to Butch Cassidy and Amelia Earhart, has several centennial ranches, many new businesses and historical buildings, intriguing museums, and some of the best views in the state of Wyoming! In addition to enjoying a low cost of living and an excellent educational system, our citizens benefit from a low crime rate, manageable traffic, and unlimited outdoor recreational opportunities in Shoshone National Forest. We are about an hour and a half away from Yellowstone National Park, forty-five minutes away from Thermopolis, and about thirty miles south of Cody.
Residents have clean air to breathe, great water to drink , and enjoy extensive community recreational opportunities including a beautiful indoor swimming pool, tennis court, and skate park provided by the Meeteetse Recreation District. We have two reservoirs near our town: Upper Sunshine and Lower Sunshine that are great for camping, fishing, biking, hiking, and other outdoor pursuits!
