Anderson Lodge

At one time, Anderson Lodge was A.A. Anderson’s art studio. Built by Abraham Archibald Anderson in the late 1800’s, the lodge was also used as Anderson’s mountain home when he was escaping the city. Being an artist, Anderson was very taken with the Wyoming landscape. The lodge and the “hired hand” buildings still stand and were restored by HistoriCorps in 2018. Anderson was an integral factor in the creation of the national forests and his lodge is where the entire initiative got its start.
