MEETEETSE LIBRARY STARTS NEW PROGRAMS!
DON’T MISS!! Meeteetse author Scott Werbelow will be at the Library this Saturday, Jan. 22 at 2:00 to talk about his book “Son of a Poacher”. He will have books available for pur- chase and signing.
The Park County Libraries are hosting a Winter Reading Program again this year, January 17-February 28. Come in, check out a book, read it, return it, fill out a ticket with your name & number and you’ll be entered in the drawing for a prize! We hope you’ll participate – it’s easy and it’s fun!
The Library Book Group is reading “The Four Winds” by Kristin Hannah this month. This book is consistently rated one of the top books of 2021. We would love to have you join us and read along. There are books available at the Meeteetse Library and it is also available as an e-book through Libby. Book Group will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 1:00 to dis- cuss it. We always welcome new readers! (This could be your first book in the Winter Reading Program!)
Saturday, Jan. 22 will be a busy day at the Library. From 10-2 we’re having a “Drop In Day of Hygge”. Hygge is the Danish word for Comfort and Coziness – something we all need during the cold months. So stop in that Saturday and have a cup of Hot Chocolate or Hot Cider, make some Hygge-inspired crafts for your house, sit by the fire and chat ... just en- joy some time relaxing.
And at 2:00 Meeteetse author Scott Werbelow will be at the Library to talk about his book, “Son of a Poacher”. Scott grew up rough and tough in Greybull, Wy – and found his way to the Wyoming Game & Fish. Come and hear his story. Scott will have books availa- ble for purchase and signing. If you’d like to read the book first, we do have it at the Li- brary – when it’s not checked out!
Meeteetse Library is hosting a series of programs this Winter, “Is This the Decade You Re- tire?”, aimed at Retirement preparation and questions. Please join us! In February the topic will be the Wyoming Retirement System. George Eason, Education Program Manag- er for Wyoming Retirement System, will be here on Wednesday, Feb. 9 at 6:00 pm. While much of the information presented will be aimed at those approaching retirement who are members of Wyoming Retirement, it is open to the public and there will be a lot of general information that is applicable to anyone. Don’t miss this valuable information! The more we know the better prepared we are for the adventures ahead!
Regularly scheduled events include Kids Activity – Mondays after school. The Rec Kids come but it is OPEN to all kids (grade 1 & up unless with parent, sibling or guardian). We’ll rotate through different activities including Legos, Board Games, Crafts and more! And
on Thursday at 10:00 am there is Toddler Storytime for any age kids not in school – this includes stories, songs, games, crafts, and more!
