Meeteetse Library Starts New Programs
National Library Week is April 3-9 this year. Celebrate Libraries with us by coming up and getting a Library Card (if you don’t already have one!) and by checking out a book or movie. If you haven’t been to the Library lately stop by and let us show you all that the Library has to offer you!
On Wednesday afternoons the Library will show recorded video from the University of Wyoming “Barnyard & Backyard” series. These programs are shown live on Friday mornings via Zoom or Facebook – we’ll show the recordings at the time that best meets the needs of our community. For now that seems to be Wednesday afternoons. This week, Wednesday, Mar 23, 2:00, the program is “How to Grow Leafy Greens & Peas in Wyoming” with Brian Sebade with the University of Wyoming Extension Service. They last about an hour and have some good tips applicable to Wyoming.
The Library Book Group will read a Biography/Autobiography of choice this month. You get to pick the book! We’ll meet on Wednesday, April 20 at 1:00 to hear a little about each of the choices.
It is Spring Break for the School this week but the Library is OPEN! Come and get your books, movies or CD Books.
Spring is in the air and the Library is feeling it! Tuesday, Mar. 29, will be the official kick-off for the Park County Libraries Seed Library in Meeteetse! Come by to hear more about the Seed Libraries and to find out what seeds are available! The Meeteetse Library will have a Seed Library with seed packets available for you to take, plant, nurture and then, if you’re so inclined, save seeds and give some back to the Seed Library for next year. We’ll also have a variety of resources on growing and gardening available.
And keeping with the Gardening Theme – our April Coffee Talk (April 12 @ 10:00) will be with Joe & Paige Paisley. They have been Greenhouse Gardening for years and will share some of their pointers, expertise and tips with us.
Tech Time – are you stumped with your mobile device, laptop or tablet and need a little
help? Wednesday mornings are a good time to come up to the Library for a little one-on-one help. I’m not an expert but I can help with most day to day tasks – get an app downloaded, get books to read or listen to on your device, send and receive emails and texts, and so on. YOU have to know and remember your login and passwords to all accounts – I can’t and won’t help you with this! But once we’re in I’m happy to help!!
