MEETEETSE LIBRARY COFFEE TALK & OTHER PROGRAMS
Summer Reading is under way and programs have started!! We have programs for ALL ages, birth - adult. Come up to the Library and get signed up - it is NEVER TOO LATE!
Elementary Stories and Activities are on Monday @ 10:00 - Everyone is welcome
Toddler Stories and Activities are on Friday @ 10:00 - Everyone is welcome
Wednesday, June 29 at 10:00 will be our last big program for the month. Acclaimed Aussie performing artist, Paul Taylor (aka "The Didgeridoo Guy"), will be here with a fun program about Australia. "He delights in celebrating the culture of his homeland through, story, song, dance, painting and didgeridoo." Come prepared to learn and laugh and perhaps even to sing and dance!
This is presented by the Park County Library System and supported by the Park County Library Foundation. It is a free public event and everyone of ALL ages is invited and encouraged to join us!
Meeteetse Library will be CLOSED Saturday, July 2 - Monday, July 4 for Independence Day weekend. We wish everyone a Happy and Safe 4th of July!
Looking ahead to July (argh!! already??) our Coffee Talk guest will be Zach Nichols from the First Stop of Park County Help Center and Heart Mountain Free Health Clinic. Zach will share with us the resources that are available in Park County. Whether help is needed for us, our friends and family or our community - if we don't know what's available it's hard to provide the help needed. Knowledge is Power!
That evening, July 12, Beth Roberson is going to come in and "Show and Tell" us all about her Handmade Baskets!! If you haven't seen them, you are in for a treat!
Later in July we'll follow up on the Greenhouse presentation we had from Joe and Paige Paisley with an on-site field trip to their greenhouse. We will not just imagine it - we'll see it!
And our Summer Reading will wind down with a Summer Reading Party on the morning of Tuesday, July 26.
So...a busy June will be followed by a busy July!
Did you know … the Library has an Overhead Projector that you can check out? This would be perfect for art projects, decorating, wall paintings – anytime you need to enlarge an image. Come and see us!
Spring is in the air (Finally? Maybe?) Our Seed Library at the Meeteetse Library has officially launched and we’re anxious to have you come and see it! Come by to find out what seeds and resources are available! There are seed packets for you to take, plant, nurture and then, if you’re so inclined, save seeds and give some back to the Seed Library for next year. There is a wide variety of seed – vegetable and flowers. Let’s get started gardening!!
On Wednesday afternoons at 2:00 the Library will show recorded video from the University of Wyoming “Barnyard & Backyard” series. These programs are shown live on Friday mornings via Zoom or Facebook – we’ll show the recordings at the time that best meets the needs of our community. For now, that seems to be Wednesday afternoons. They last about an hour and have some good tips applicable to Wyoming.
Tech Time – are you stumped with your mobile device, laptop or tablet and need a little help? Wednesday mornings are a good time to come up to the Library for a little one-on-one help. I’m not an expert but I can help with most day-to-day tasks – get an app downloaded, get books to read or listen to on your device, send and receive emails and texts, and so on. YOU have to know and remember your login and passwords to all accounts – I can’t and won’t help you with this! But once you’re in I’m happy to help!!
