Meeteetse Library Coffee Talk and Other Programs

Have you thought of opening a Small Business? Do you wish you had a Small Business but aren't sure where to begin? Do you have a Small Business but wonder if you could or should be doing things differently? Do you have questions and wish there was someone to ask? The Meeteetse Library has a great program coming up in October just for you! Devon Costa-Cargill with the Wyoming Small Business Development Center will be hosting a "Start Your Own Business" workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 6:00-7:30. It is aimed at helping you to be successful with your small business. Call Meeteetse Library, 868-2248, with any questions. This is free and open to eve-yone.

On Monday, Oct 10, 6:00 pm the Meeteetse Library and Park County Land Trust will host a screening of the film "My Wild Land". This is a series of 3 short films, each featuring a Wyoming family ranch - each struggling to maintain their commitment to the land, the ranch and their heritage. One of the ranches is the Bischoff Ranch in Lovell. Following the film there will be a panel discussion and Q & A session featuring representatives from Meeteetse ranches as well as groups and agencies working with and providing resources for the ranches and/or the lands around them.

This is free and open to everyone. It will be shown in the Meeteetse School Cafeteria - doors open at 5:30. Light Snacks and Sweets will be served. We hope you'll join us.

Meeteetse Readers! The Library Book Group took a short hiatus during the summer months but it's time to get back to reading! Everyone is welcome to join us. Stop by the Library to pick up the current book we're reading. This time it is "The Beatryce Prophecy" by Kate DiCamillo. This is an Upper Elementary Chapter book so it's a quick read but has fun, endearing, quirky characters and a great message. We'll meet to discuss it on Wednesday, Oct 19 at 1:00.

On Thursday afternoons the Meeteetse Library will have a planned After School activity for kids (8 & up, un-less accompanied by an adult or sibling or as part of the Rec After School program). This will vary from week to week but will include Legos, Board and Card Games, Crafts, Games and other activities. It will be a screen-free time. It is free and everyone is welcome to join us.

The Meeteetse Chatelaine Quilters have donated a fabulous Quilt to the Meeteetse Friends of the Library to be used as a fundraiser. Raffle Tickets will be on sale now until Oct. 22, which is the end of National Friends of the Library Week! Tickets are $10 each or 6 tickets for $50. Tickets can be purchased at the Library or can be purchased online at https://meeteetsefriendslibrary.betterworld.org/giveaways/hand-made-library-quilt

This is definitely a piece of Art!
